Bitcoin Gold is a bitcoin hard fork that has undergone a change in the basic algorithm of coin mining. The original version uses SHA-256, which allows you to mine tokens only with the help of powerful ASIC equipment. When mining BTG, you need video cards that work according to a different algorithm: Equihash. Security has also been improved.
